Well, I did install RH9 and I can say that they have done a great job of
making the KDE desktop boring and have the appearance of less functionality.
I say 'appearance of' because it is all (or most all) there. It is just
that all the bells and whistles are simply not obvious. No surprise, I
guess, as they prefer Gnome. Beyond that initial impression, I have yet to
play with it to see what RH is really up to. I will try SuSE as well to make
an informed decision as to the two dominant commercial distros.
