The screens error is not necessarily the chipset. It is that there is no 
description in the place where you define the various screen resolutions.
It could be that the driver is not determining how much memory the card has.
When this fails, there is a directive to hardwire the amount of memory the
card has, which may be needed. (I have yet to encounter such a situation,
bit it must happen, I guess.)
