Are you using it for the IDE or because of the closeness to BASIC?

If it's the latter... Track down NETREXX at IBM HURSLEY... it's a mixture
of rexx and java... no builtin IDE, but then you can grabb JEDIT and add in the
netrexx support module(s) and be on the road to having your cake and eating it
too.
