mail is not reaching

Hi

     My server is with redhat linux8.0. Sendmail is
already installed. I started sendmail daemon. Now i
created one userid and trying to sendmail to that
userid . But /var/log/maillig is showing nothing. And
i am not receiving any mails. For this servre i have
already an A record registered.....

Cound anybody tell me what is the reason?
