I guess the question is whose deep pockets will be called upon to defend
linux. I suppose IBM will work hard on this, since linux has revitalized
IBM's big server market.

IBM could not have been ignorant of this possibility when it adopted linux.
So, this will be interesting indeed. I wonder how they will try this. A
jury of twelve ignorant people or just one ignorant judge.

It will be interesting to see the Wall Street Journal's approach to this.
They were very critical of the US government's anti-trust suit against
Microsoft.

I recall seeing an interview years ago with the founder of Netscape, when
it was at the top of its success with the Navigator. The CEO said his big
fear was somebody working in his basement, getting ready to roll out the
next big thing and taking everyone by surprise. Boy, was he ever wrong.
So, predicting the future is just beyond most of us.

Just follow the money.
