Tape Restore

Basically I backed up with the XP 'Backup and Restore' thing (aka 
Ntbackup.exe).  Formatted and reinstalled Winders (it had problems, that's 
how Winders usually gets fixed).  I tried restoring with the same program and 
it wouldn't restore.  So the tape would be in Ntbackup format.

So maybe I should try restoring one of my several month old complete backups 
and seeing if that will restore the data (a really nasty thing to do under 
Winders because it takes about twice as long as another fresh reinstall of 
the OS, plus you have all the problems that your system still had) after it 
gets done?
