I had heard that.  But I assume it's not so different that it won't 
accept kernel and X lib upgrades?

I'm certainly paranoid about Bill Gates and recent attempts to pass 
intrusive legislation in the US and various covert technologies 
(Echelon?).  I assume they're making their own x86 processor clones?
