Back when the GNU compiler started, why wasn't it called DEC/GnuCC or
SUN/GnuCC. After all, there was no compiler without an OS on which to
compile/run it. You know, little things like file store and process
management. All those things that had to and did exist before the compiler.

Sort of like if I make a program in Tcl, I must call it Tcl/Gizmo. How many
programs written in Visual Basic are called MS-VB/Gizmo ?

RMS is a lucky guy to have such free time to fill like he does. I envy him
that.
