   I am now trying to install rc4 on a hd. everything great up to now.
On emerge -up system fails
emerge  there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to patch sys/develop

problem with ebuild sys-apps/baselayout.1.8.6.6
Possible DEPEND/*DEPEND PROBLEM

DEPGRAPGH CREATION FAILURE

 SET USE="X86" ON ADV MASK.

What have I missed or need to do, following install doc, actually
printed them.
