I skipped RH8 after hearing some nightmare stories about broken rpm and
other stuff.

Seems to be well designed, no noticable instability, and its redhat.
There's really not any one specific thing, it just feels right, after
moving from 7.3.

At this point, its installed on a single laptop, however i'll prolly start
deploying it as a server (with XFS) in a month or 2 if all continues to
run smoothly.
