Mozilla and Java Plugin Issue

For the last six months I have been using the Sun Java SDK/JRE with my 
nightly mozilla builds and also more recently builds that I compiled 
myself. They have been working fine until recently

Problem: The Java plugin has failed to register on both the nightly 
builds and the self compiled versions.

Cause: the Sun Java JRE is not compatible with gcc 3.2.x compile linux 
builds of mozilla

Resolution: Use the blackdown version of java compiled using gcc 3.2.x

This may seem basic but if it saves someone on the list some 
headaches/hours than this is worth the post.
