I figured that would be my next step. I'll have to carry a copy of that
with me when I try showing off Linux. The fonts in Slack 8.1 were
acceptable right out of the box. Each time I installed 8.1 on a converts
machine, they were impressed. Loading and trying to setup the fonts in
Slack-9.0 was an embarrasment. I was able to enlighten the newest
convert re the evolution of an OS (bookmarked every linux site I know of
(especially linux-sxs)on their install). Being unable to fix the font
issue in Mozill was not very assuring in the "its about choice" dept.
Even though I was unable to demonstrate on my machine that the fonts can
be fixed, I believe that linux has a new convert. I think he said
something about "gee, I love a challenge", well, at times it sure is<G>
