Can't reinstall kernel source

I had 'kernel-source-2.4.20' on my drive, but could not get it to
respond without failed hunks when applying the mki-adapter.patch file to
the kernel, before compiling. I subsequently deleted
'kernel-source-2.4.20' from my debian system, and now I get the
following message when I try to retrieve the kernel-source again.
scott:/home/scott# apt-get install kernel-source-2.4.20
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package kernel-source-2.4.20 has no available version, but exists in the
database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
E: Package kernel-source-2.4.20 has no installation candidate
Please help me get back to where I once was...
