USB and Palm connection problem

You may need a new version of the hotplug package to go with your new kernel.  
This error won't stop the thing from working, however.  You've got the visor 
driver loaded so it ought to work.

Try using /dev/usb/tts/x instead of the previous device names.  This is a 
devfs thing I think.

I'm not sure about the compiler error but if you have an 0.9.x version of 
pilot-link you definitely need a new one.  The old one hasn't a chance of 
working.

You should do all your base functionality testing with pilot-xfer since that's 
what jpilot et al are using anyway.  It should make things less confusing by 
removing a level of indirection.
