I assume you're trying to use https to talk to webmin.

In order to do that, you have to:

1) Have the perl stuff for NET:SSLEAY installed.
2) Turn on ssl in webmin
3) use:  https://127.0.0.1:1000   (or whatever)

Sounds like something in the above isn't in order.
