Hosed my system. Knoppix won't fix it.

Knoppix makes all file systems read only, which is why you can't fix
anything. In order to remount rw you have to right click on the icon
for the partition, and select the 'remount rw' option (or something
simlar, i forget thee exact wording). after that you should be able to
run lilo ok.
