I have had problems with 8.1 and my digital camera, which I solved by d'ling
gphoto from the Caldera SOSS site (
ftp://ftp2.caldera.com/pub/soss/RPMS/gphoto* )
I have also been doing the Digital Video capture stuff. See my other post.
