Just yesterday I won the printing war with Mozilla 1.21 on Gentoo/KDE
3.1.0. I could not print from Mozilla as a user. All KDE apps worked
fine. Root worked fine. I read the CUPS docs and learned nothing. After
reading the docs on the KDE printing subsystem, I found the answer. Just
set the Mozilla print command to kprinter to utilize the KDE printing
system. Works like a charm, gives you a nice gui menu system to change
all the features of your printer. Anyway, in my case the beast has been
tamed.
