Does Verizon use PPPoE? I'm not clear on what your firewall has to do
with setting this up?

A router needs at least 2 NICs. One for all traffic to the outside world,
and one for all trafffic to your internal network.

Well, i know zero about "SuSE Firewall2". All that you must have to
accomplish this is PPPoE support (if that's what verizon uses for auth),
and NAT support. The firewall really has nothing to do with it, other
than being a good idea for security reasons.
