install.sh for libstdc++

I upgraded from a botched version of glibc to glibc-2.2.5. The upgrade
finally worked, despite the fact that I can't compile things like
abiword because the c++ compiler fails to produce executable code
during configure. The error I got in my first post, trying to compile
glibc, was due to the fact that I had tried to install GCC 3.x prior
to this, and had placed some source code for that in the source tree of
glibc-2.2.5. Huh? It seemed like a good idea at the time, since I was
trying to get the install-sh into the path of the configure command for
GCC 3.x.

If you have concluded that I thrash around a lot with stuff like this, you
are right. Anyway, I went to the Steps and found the instructions for
installing glibc, and things went fine once I took the spurious code for
GCC out.

Now, I am trying to install gcc 2.9.5, hoping that when I do, my g++
compiler will work and I can recompile abiword. I will have to leave that
for another evening. However, if you know of a step by step for gcc,
let me know. The instructions for installing sound a bit like glibc,
but, there are many nuances which are just beyond me.
