xine-lib (0.9.13) compile error on Suse 8.1

1) xine-lib-0.9.13 is very very old.  try with xine-lib-1-beta5
2) gcc seg faulted.  this could be caused by a lot of things, but i 
really doubt that xine-lib is the cause.
