3.0.x apps are *supposed* to work under 3.1. There is *supposed* to be
binary compatibility in KDE 3.x. I don't think it works the other way
'round, though. KDE 3.1 apps won't necessarily work with 3.0.x, but
3.0.x apps certainly should work in 3.1.
