DVD::RIP is the best I've seen so far. It wasn't at all hard, but then I'm very
used to tracking down missing modules, etc. If you (not personally) are a linux
weeney, then I couldn't in good conscience recommend it. Here's a list of stuff
I had to install, upgrade or otherwise recompile to smooth out dependencies...

Gtk-Perl-0.7008.tar.gz
Video-DVDRip-0.48.8.tar.gz
divx4linux501-20020418.tgz
hvirtual-110802-1.i686.rpm
hvirtual-110802-src.tar.bz2
libdv-0.99.tar.gz
libfame-0.9.0.tar.gz
transcode-0.6.3.tar.gz
vcdimager-0.6.2.tar.gz
xvidcore-0.9.0.tar.bz2
aalib-1.2.tar.bz2
divx4linux501-20020418.tar.bz2
libcss-0.1.0.tar.gz
libdvdcss-1.2.5.tar.bz2
