Kde 3.1 questions

Settings-Configure Kmail-Identities, seems fairly straightforward to me.
What do you mean by "Everything is filled in"?

Dunno, sound has always just worked with my crappy RH 8 system. Don't think it 
uses Alsa, though. I'm using an SBLive! and I've never had to fuss with it. 
It just works.

Does "File-Save Current Volumes as Default" help?

Ask the Phoenix/Mozilla developers. I don't think either will do that. But I 
usually close all my apps before exitting...
