All my database access is via Apache and Perl.  Replacing either is not
an option.  I have gotten the two running together, but the Zope error
messages were too obtuse for me to figure out where all the problems
were when one page was fine and the the next was not (and I never could
get it fixed, so I dumped it, both times).  Afraid I don't have two days
free time to fight with it again.
