Windows client, linux X server

I would like to run X client sessions from windows clients to a linux
server.

I hope I have this terminology right. The distinction between client and
server in this situation always befuddles me, but, I think you know what
I mean. The windows box logs onto the linux box and runs linux programs
on the linux box.

There is more than one way I believe for doing this. Does anyone have
any experience doing this?
