Maybe professional is the wrong word.  I guess it's the tone of the forums and the responses.  I subscribed to Xine a while back and then started again this weekend.  I also started Mplayer and it appears the tone of the messages and responses are on a "higher" level.  Xine may be good but it's just such a mismash when you try and figure it out since the docs are lousy - even by opensource standards <G> - and it doesn't seem to matter to them.  I remember spending days building the xine stuff - adding something, removing it when I found out it wasn't really what I needed!
