Nikon Coolpix 2500 and tethering to a computer

The DC5000 does not do movies yet functions as a webcam. I have no idea
why it is so, but it is. It is possible that the camera is capable but
that because it is a midline camera that the functionalty to transfer
a stream to the CF media has been left out.
