I resemble that remark. It usually goes something like this:

Daughter child: "Thanks for the money, Dad."
Paternal unit : "You're welcome. Did you take out the trash?"
Daughter child: "Dad! It's <*anyone* else's> turn! 
Paternal unit : "Sigh."
