(Solved, almost) Re: RH 8 font problem

It seems I'm almost there. xlsfonts is now listing my fonts and they seem to 
be available from all my apps, including OOo. Selecting fonts in OOo doesn't 
appear to be crashing XFS (woo hoo!). Unfortunately, KDE apps run from Gnome 
don't appear to be getting *any* fonts, now. Well, I guess it's more like 
they're getting a blank font. When logged into KDE proper, everything works 
fine, just not when running KDE apps from Gnome. And just when I thought I 
was getting the hang of this...
