touch?

I need to modify folder creation dates. I looked through man and info on
"touch" and dont see folders mentioned.  I am creating links using
readdir(perl) and not relying on any sorting so folders are output in
crono order. I made the original set in a-z order so display is a-z. any
additions are obviously out of order and it is just one folder so
modifying it would be easier than adding a sort routine to the script,
as easy as that would also be.
