yes. howerver, I suggest making rpm-build a symlink so that if you ever 
upgrade to 4.x it will properly overwrite the 'fake' binary

safe? yes. easy? not really. and there's no real reason. use the latest 3.x 
version and you can use 3.x and 4.x based rpms
