Uploading digital photos

That's a good question and one that has sat in the back of my mind
also. There is no "software" involved in the reader, it simply mounts
(at least on my box) as a SCSI device and the files have a .jpg
extention. Remember that jpegs can be made with a little or a lot of
compression. These little cameras don't have gobs of pixels anyway and
each picture is under a megabyte but I will say that the resolution is
much, much better than the typical jpeg that you might pull off of a
webpage. A typical jpeg on a web page might be a few tens of
kilobytes. Otherwise, webpages for people with dial up modems would
take all day to load. So a photo from a 2 or 3 megapixel camera is
really very nice.
