Ramblings about RedHat 7.3 XFS

I have gone through three kernel upgrades with it. I am using the
standard kernel supplied by RH so cant say if anything you compiled in
would still be there after a kernel upgrade. I did not allow up2date to
touch the kernel the first four or five times I ran it then said, oh
well.... so far not a single problem. RH7.3 is the most stable standard
distro I've run. I did run into some library hell when I tried to
install evolution... like a non thinking dummy I did not install gnome.
But I took the cs way out and used red carpet, which BTW I like better
than up2date(and it does RH upgrades also...try it when RH server boots
you).
