Slide sorter software

I tried xv. I don't see how I can reorder or rename the tiff files with
the visual schnauzer.
The two programs I tried were Photoview and pikview.

Hmmm....

Maybe, I could run an xterm window on the same screen as a visual
schnauzer.  And, have a script running in the xterm which, by entering
just a couple of numbers,  would rename, and thus reorder, these photos.
This looks much simpler than using the browser, cgi, etc.

Something to  look into.

Back to work. First, gotta clean some more dishes (Some of the kids are
back from college,etc. and my wife is cooking more.)
