Not that I'm aware of. Reason being is that apmd is a service and lilo 
"appends" deal strictly with options and configuration of kernels and 
locations, not the actual OS and it's internal functions and system 
services. Out of curiosity, do you have anything in your rc.local file 
that's calling something towards the end of the boot sequence do you? A 
firewall script, a daemon starting, sshd, ipchains/iptables, anything 
customized without a second thought from habit? I'm still not sure it's 
apmd unless it's possessed. (Halloween's coming ya know)<g> It just 
doesn't do things like that unless some Sleep/Hibernate settings are 
really fubar. Study the logs closely, noting the corresponding times, 
the answer may be there. Kill off every system service possible to see 
where it stops the problem. (it may be a badly behaving combination too)
Also does it do the same thing at runlevel 1?
