SuSE 8.1 Woes ......

Ok .. gotta make some decisions fast and hard here now. Got some
projects I must get done and since I was on the
tail end of them, decided to upgrade the servers to SuSe 8.1 .... Big
Mistake. Everthing seems to be borken, or at least
suffering major brain damage. Coming out of AppGen in a Xterm session,
causes bash to go 99.5% CPU tilization and
eating up ALL available memory. Even having having a LPRng current
installed froms scratch results in back-to-back
print jobs losing all but the first print job. This is just an example
of some of the strange things (And there are others)
that have been happening. There are other reports from newsgroup that
report some weirded out things from RH 8
and MD 9 as well.

So, do i blow off SuSE 8.1 and go back to 8.0? Can this be caused by
the GCC 3.2 stuff? Any SUGGESTION?
