<OT>help with Sun E450 RAID

Two questions...

If we're talking hardware RAID, don't all the disks in the array usually 
have to be connected to the same RAID controller?

Is the standard SCSI bus in the E450 a RAID controller?  (And if so, why 
did you have to buy a second one?)
