What type of case is it, anyway? Yeah, these Athlon jobs can be really
noisy- so much that I'm thinking of watercooling. My current case is an
Antec SX1240- full tower, six 5.25" drive bays, six internal 3.5" bays,
and two 3.5"s on the front. I've got about four case fans (one for two
of the HD's, one for the front, and two in back), power supply fan, CPU
fan, chipset fan, and graphics card fan. But I have temperature sensors
on the case fans, so as soon as winter hits, my comp will be relatively
silent. Only 128mb of RAM, seeing today's low prices on the stuff?
Currently I've got the dough saved up almost for the new MB and
everything for the RAM (mainly because the MB I want hasn't been
released quite yet, just announced). I'm looking at a stick of 512mb
Corsair CAS2. I'll wait on the processor upgrade, because my 1.4ghz
T-Bird still works fine, and I'd rather just get the latest Athlon
before the new x86-64 technology hits.
