Java Applet question

Matt,

getWidth() in 1.3+ is from the Component super class.  This
method did not exist in 1.1 Component.

BTW, specifying -target 1.1 does *not* verify a backward
compatable class.  It merely makes the resulting .class file
**binary compatible**.
