IIRC, it handles more character sets, more document types, allows you to have 
multiple document repository inputs into one search database. it does 
database updates as well as additions and deletions.

that being said, you may find htdig is kewl for you. I just know when I tried 
to use it to replace swish-e on the sxs, I kept running into roadblock after 
roadblock. namazu didn't have them.
