Woo-hoo! This time, it finished without error. What happened before, I don't 
know. But it's working now. 
Obviously, it was the beer... (Crooked River ESB, brewed in Cleveland, OH -- 
in case anyone else needs to compile glibc 2.2.5... probly should be added to 
the SxS)

Now, I wonder if it'll solve my atexit error I get with kdemultimedia and 
Xfree86...
