daemon monitoring software?

Does anyone have any recommendations on daemon monitoring software? 
Specifically, i need to monitor that these are up & listening on their 
respective ports:
exim
http
https
ssh
slapd
cron
oracle db
cvs
clearcase

I saw NetSaint, but I was wondering if anyone had success with anything 
else?  Thanks!
