amd may have no choice, if the thing gets made the law or if msft's 
software requires it as it is likely to do. this is really, really 
bad.

and what the europeans think about it is likely to take a backseat to 
what they're in a position to do about it. i suppose they could pass 
some laws that would make it worthwhile for intel or amd to run 
batches of chips without the censorware.
