About to blow away X, what do I need to backup?

I've done 
tar -cvf /path/to/backupfile /etx/X11 /usr/X11R6
Is there anything else before I blow away X to attempt my first full 
compile/install of xfree86 (4.2.1 -- in accordance with the lovely SxS by Mr. 
Hunley)?
