xfree86 lite

with all these talks about open-source and open standard,
is there any effort to guarantee that uninstallation of xfree and
anything that works on top it?

we all knew about 98lite in window$. any similiar script to guarantee
clean removal of xfree86, kde, gnome, whatever from *ANY* linux 
distribution?
