Well, as a further test, I ssh'd into my server at work, composed a nice mail
message to myself using Pine, put "." on a single line, typed more lines
after that, and the message came thru perfectly. With *and* without "-i"
specified in OPTIONS. Seems to be just list mail that has the problem for me.
I wonder if it's a kmail bug of some kind. List mail gets treated differently
than non-list mail...
I'll post a message on another mail list and see what happens...

Well, that test message made it thru the kde-devel intact.
It's not my sendmail, it's not kmail, it doesn't seem to be *anything* on my
end. SO, why doesn't anybody else have the problem?
Arrgghh!
I think I'll give up...
