Dual processor testing

On Linux, at least, there's a pseudo-file that tells you what the kernel
thinks it has.  Try
  cat /proc/cpuinfo

If you only see cpu 0, then there's only one.  My Dual Xeon, however,
shows cpus 0-3 (Xeons look like 2 CPUs each).
