I'm using a gray cable for "basic" signaling. I have another server
attached to the "smart" port and using a black cable. And a Winders box
with a gray cable next to it works fine so I know the overall setup is
correct.

/usr/sbin/lsof ttyS0 returns nothing.
Thoughts?
