glib2 and gtk2

No, but I'm having a terrible time installing gnome-libs from source, since they seem to require DB 1.85 and COL has DB3.x and 4.x is latest.  Why would the Gnome team require such antiquated libs!?  yeck.  The end goal is Evolution, and perhaps I'll tackle Gnome later...  but this seems to be a stumbling blockearly in the process.
